This week's episode is one I've been waiting for! There are many horrifying things in the SCP universe, but my favorites are the articles that turn a (mostly) normal world into something completely unfamiliar. In this week's episode, we get a whole new perspective.

Midsummer Scream

Last week I flew to Long Beach to attend Midsummer Scream! Attending conventions is always a blend of fun and exhaustion (though this one leaned way into fun territory). I designed a new Bloody Disgusting Booth, which we debuted. We gave out roughly twenty bags of candy to over thousands of attendees. And we sold some exclusive t-shirts and merch!

While in Long Beach, Shelby Novak (Scare You To Sleep) and I took a small detour to visit the Queen Mary, a cruise ship turned haunted hotel! We took a mid-day ghost tour, then proceeded to wander around the ship for a couple more hours. I really cannot convey how large this ship was- It's kinda surreal. But maybe some of these photos will do it justice!

Toxic Avenger

Another quick plug for The Toxic Avenger: St. Roma’s Village! Kale Brown wrote this week’s episode (Mayfair Watchers Society), edited by me, and recorded by the 7Lamb Production team! This episode was short but very fun to work on. Give it a listen, if you haven’t already! And be sure to buy your tickets for The Toxic Avenger, it comes out NEXT WEEK!

From the Internet

I’m in a bit of a book slump, so I decided to pick up an old favorite - Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. As it happened —“as it was meant to happen,” Bokonon would say — I stumbled upon an article about the book.

The Making of Kurt Vonnegut’s ‘Cat’s Cradle’
How the novelist turned the violence and randomness of war into a cosmic joke

Life has been full of little coincidences lately, so I’m sharing this one with you in case there’s another coincidence waiting to happen.

That’s all for this week! As always, thanks for tuning in. We’ll see you next week for SCP-3010: “Casual Absent Paranoia”
